How the Chiefs prevailed against the Raiders in a thriller, 30-29: Daily coverage:

DT Chiefs Chris Jones spoke out after the game regarding the roughing the passer penalty analysed against him, pointing to a similar penalty analysed against Grady Jarrett on Sunday and suggesting that these calls might cost teams games:

That, in my opinion, is the next move, “Jones said”. Because features can sometimes be tricking, if we’re going to keep calling roughing the passer at that high of a speed, we’ve got to be able to view it in the booth and make sure. From the ref’s vantage point, it most likely looked that way at first. When you watch the replay, it looks completely different.

More information regarding Travis Kelce

With at least 4 receiving touchdowns in a game, Travis Kelce had the fewest receiving yards of any player in NFL history.

How the Raiders were defeated by the Captains in Week 5:

In Week 5’s Monday Night Football game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Travis Kelce set an NFL record with four touchdown receptions of less than 10 yards, which helped the Kansas City Chiefs overturn a 17-0 half – time deficit and defeat the Raiders 30-29.

The Raiders took a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter and continued to increase it to a 17-0 lead by the halfway point of the period after scoring touchdowns on two of their first three possessions, including one on a 58-yard pass to Davante Adams. Kansas City had been playing incredibly slowly up until that point, but they suddenly closed the gap to 17-7 after scoring on one of Kelce’s short-distance touchdowns.

The real game-changing moment then showed up:

On the following drive, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones got past Derek Carr for a sack, but his follow-through on the hit resulted in a roughing the passer penalty. The ESPN broadcast team, which included former NFL official John Parry, and many influential Twitter commentators, including former head coach Sean Payton, all argued that the penalty shouldn’t have been called.

The audience at Arrowhead Stadium reacted with anger to this because it happened after the controversial decision against Grady Jarrett on a sack against Tom Brady yesterday. Las Vegas scored a field goal on that drive to increase its lead to 20-7, but Kansas City’s fans appeared to shake the team out of its rut and the Chiefs proceeded on a 23-3 run that gave them a 30-23 advantage midway through the fourth quarter. Patrick Mahomes’ short passes to Kelce, who the Raiders couldn’t seem to slow down in those crucial situations, were the source of each touchdown during that run.

Las Vegas then made a 75-yard drive in seven plays to make the score 30-29. Josh Jacobs’ inside rush attempt on a play where Josh McDaniels made a decision to go for two points to gain the advantage fell just inches short of the goal line.

A final opportunity for the Raiders to take the lead introduced itself, but Adams was unable to effectively catch a pass inbounds on third down, and on fourth down, he collided with Hunter Renfrow, which resulted in an incomplete pass.

Week 6 is off for Las Vegas . In one of the most important games of the 2022 season, Kansas City  will host the Bills the following week.

Adams apologises to the man he shoved :

After the Raiders wide receiver Following Monday’s defeat to the Chiefs, Davante Adams expressed regret to the man he had knocked to the ground.

When it appeared that a staff member was about to walk in front of Adams as he was heading toward the locker room, Adams reacted by pushing the man to the ground.

Adams stated following the match, “I wish to apologise to him. A man was leaving the field when he ran and jumped in front of me, which caused us to collide and push each other, resulting in his fall to the ground.” He was literally running in front of me, and I could only imagine his frustration, so I wanted to apologise to him for that.
