Henry Cavill Confirms Not Returning As Superman

Henry Cavill, one of the most well-known superheroes of all time, will not be playing Superman in the future Superman movies.  Henry Cavill won’t be making a comeback in James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman” movie; another DC character may take his place instead.

James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, gained attention when he revealed that he is creating a new superhero movie about Superman, one of the most adored characters in history.

The shocking element of the news is that James Gunn has confirmed Henry Cavill won’t be taking part in the future film.

Henry Cavill, not merely James Gunn, independently verified the facts on his social media pages. Henry posted a lengthy letter on how difficult it has been to deal with the news on his Instagram.

Henry Cavill posted on Twitter:

“I just met with Peter Safran and James Gunn, and I have sad news, but we did meet.

He wrote in his post, “James and Peter need to create a universe.” he continued in his post. I send them and everyone else involved in the new universe my warmest wishes for happiness and luck.

The new Superman film from DC Studios will be directed by James Gunn.

This is in addition to the fact that Henry Cavill won’t be playing Superman again.

After the recent announcement that actor Henry Cavill would be leaving the role of Superman, James Gunn is penning a new Superman movie for DC. The project will follow the character as a younger person, according to Gunn.

The director recently claimed that the venerable superhero is a “priority” for the studio going forward, so it only makes sense that he’ll be writing it.

There are currently no known facts about the project other than the fact that Gunn is the movie’s writer. Although this probably isn’t fantastic news for Cavill’s Superman supporters, it just serves to further solidify DC’s new course.

The Wonder Woman 3 cancellation has been the subject of frequent news reports; this is simply the most recent in what is sure to be a long string of announcements.

The slate that Gunn and DC Studios co-chair Peter Safran have created has also been confirmed as being announced soon

There have been hints here and there about what the two have talked about, such as a picture of the character Mister Terrific and artwork from the iconic Kingdom Come narrative.
